Bathurst Courthouse

Stone Restorations was engaged by Rapid Constructions to assist in delivering the restoration of the historic Bathurst Courthouse designed by celebrated colonial architect James Barnett. Our scope for this project consisted of the replacement of over 50 tonnes of shaped sandstone, in the form of full replacement & stone indents, repointing of 100% stonework, application of synthetic stone patching, installation of lead damp proof course below new base course stonework, repointing of approx 10% of the brickwork and a complete façade clean. This project involved collaboration with Heritage Stoneworks, the NSW government public works advisory, structural engineers & heritage architects.
